Problem: The app won't run even after reinstalling
The app has worked well until today. The app can't be run on my PC. No matter what I do (I try to reinstall it many times with no succes). When I run the app from the Start screen, it shows its logo for a second, then just goes back to the Start screen. Every time. Nothing helps. The error log says that two different versions of this app are now installed.
Possible solution: (provided by a user that experienced this problem)
I have windows 8.1 and recently deleted my cache. This caused JW Bible reader to lock up.
I then tried uninstalling it and reinstalling to no avail.
Finally I remembered that last time Google Chrome caused my app to stop working. So I went to control panel found that Google chrome was still installed and operating in the backround. So every time I tried to reinstall the app it was unsuccessful.
When I deleted Google Chrome it reinstalled immediately with no hesitation.
So Google Chrome and JW Bible reader do not play well together.
Another possible solution: (recovering previous state of Windows)
I solved the problem.
I searched in the web and found this solution:
1) uninstall jw bible reader
2) run command prompt as administrator
3) type recimg \createimage <directory> (it create image of the disk)
4) type recimg \setcurrent <directory>
Swipe from the right edge of the screen. Tap "Settings". And then "PC settings" and choose the third option.
You must wait some minutes but after this you can install jw bible reader without problems.
If outlook don’t work you find the files in the directory C:/Windows.old
